SDLABIO Microtube

SDLABIO Microtubes,(also known as sample tubes ) are essential consumables widely used in biology, molecular biology, and medical experiments. They are primarily used for storage, reactions, and centrifugation of small samples. Common volumes include 0.2 ml, 0.5 ml, 1.5 ml, and 2 ml. Microtubes are typically made of high-quality polypropylene (PP) with excellent transparency and chemical resistance. They can be used stably under a variety of experimental conditions, including room temperature storage, cryopreservation, and high-temperature sterilization.

  • The tube features a knurled design on the top and an easy-tight cap for one-handed operation. The silicone gasket provides a leak-proof seal.
  • Maximum RCF: 20,000 xg.
  • Produced in a Class 100,000 cleanroom, it is DNA/RNA enzyme-free, pyrogen-free, and contains less than 0.1 EU/mL of endotoxin.
  • Sterile microtubes or non-sterile options are available, with optional printed graduations and a writable area.
  • Temperature range: -80°C to 121°C, autoclavable at 121°C/15 psi (15 minutes).
  • A variety of capacity specifications are available, microtube 0.5 ml, 1.5 ml microtubes, 2 ml microtubes, with conical or flat bottom options, and with the cap attached. Custom brown color is available.

FAQ Of polypropylene microtubes

How to use sampling tubes?

1. Do not immerse micro tubes in liquid gas (e.g. liquid nitrogen). Tube immersed in liquid phase may leak. When such cryovials return to room temperature, pressure may increase rapidly and cause the tube and caps to rupture/explode. Harmful or biohazardous materials contained in the microtubos may be released during the discharge of pressurized gas. Tube should always be stored in the gas phase above the liquefied gas.

2. Please refer to the scale on the tube when storing samples. Do not store more than the highest scale line on the tube.

Screw cap microtubes have a smaller capacity and are suitable for micro-scale experiments, such as PCR, enzyme digestion, and molecular cloning. Centrifuge tubes have a larger capacity (usually 15 ml or 50 ml) and are suitable for collecting and separating large-volume samples.
