SDLABIO Kraft Pouches for Sterilization
SDLABIO Kraft pouches for sterilization are single-use sterilization packaging designed for the sterilization, storage, and transportation of nail care, permanent makeup, and small medical/beauty instruments (tweezers, nail clippers, grinding heads, etc.). The typical structure consists of medical-grade kraft paper laminated with a transparent composite film (or window). The pouches can be equipped with external color-changing indicator strips and/or built-in chemical indicator strips for quick visual confirmation of the sterilization process.

Feature Of Kraft Self Sealing Sterilization Pouch
- Composite material structure: The outer layer is made of high-temperature resistant kraft paper, and the inner layer is a penetration-resistant transparent film (for easy observation of tools and reading of indicators). This combination of materials ensures both the penetration of the sterilization medium (hot air/dry heat) and the maintenance of a sterile barrier.
- External/Internal Chemical Indicator Compatibility: The external color-changing strip on the bag provides process indication; it is recommended to use an internal chemical indicator or periodically validate with a biological indicator (BI) for critical batches to ensure sterilization effectiveness.
Single-use and easy to manage: Sealed and stored after sterilization, facilitating the recording of batch, date, and operator information, and reducing the risk of cross-contamination.
FAQ Of Kraft Self Seal sterilization pouch
Can external color-changing indicators replace biological indicators (BIs)?
They cannot completely replace them. External color-changing indicators are process indicators, which can show that the packaging has been exposed to high temperature/steam, but they cannot prove that the internal microorganisms have been inactivated. According to regulations, the effectiveness of sterilization should be verified in combination with internal chemical indicators or periodic biological indicators.
How to choose the right size for nail tools?
Choose based on the length and quantity of the tools. A single pair of tweezers/scissors typically requires a size of 75×150 mm kraft paper pouches; if you are storing multiple tools in one bag or including tools with long handles, a size of 100×200 mm or larger is recommended. Avoid overcrowding to ensure even sterilization.
How long after sterilization is it safest to use the product?
Theoretically, if stored in a clean, dry environment with the packaging sealed and undamaged, the sterile state after sterilization can be maintained for a long time. However, in practical applications, it is recommended to set a storage period according to institutional management procedures (SOPs) and local regulations, and to maintain batch records and conduct regular inspections. If the packaging is damp, damaged, or the indicator shows an abnormality, the kraft pouch bags should be re-sterilized.
How to use kraft paper bags?
- Cleaning and Drying: Thoroughly clean and dry the instruments to prevent residual organic matter from affecting the sterilization effect.
- Packaging: Place the instruments in a single layer, avoiding overlapping to prevent blockage of the sterilization medium’s penetration channels. Use trays or dividers if necessary.
- Labeling: Mark the sterilization date, batch number, instrument name, and operator on the outside of the kraft bags for easy traceability and management.
- Sealing: For self sealing sterilization pouches, tear off the sealing strip and press to seal; for heat-sealable bags, use a sealing machine according to the instructions and ensure the seal is complete.
- Sterilization: Follow the procedures indicated on the sterilization equipment and the bag itself (if the bag only specifies dry heat sterilization, do not use a high-pressure steam sterilization program). Common safety parameters for reference: Dry heat 160°C / 150 min or 180°C / 60 min (refer to product instructions); if using steam sterilization, be sure to select a bag type that is clearly marked as suitable for steam sterilization and operate according to the sterilizer instructions.
- Cooling and Storage: After sterilization, remove the bags and allow them to cool. Check the indicator strip for color change and store in a clean, dry place.
