Feature Of Aluminum Multi Foil Gas Sampling Bags

  • Manufactured from high-quality thickened aluminum foil composite film, the gas sampling bag provides excellent abrasion resistance and mechanical strength, ensuring reliable performance and extended service life.
  • Equipped with an upgraded rotary valve, the sampling bag offers convenient operation and enhanced airtightness, effectively reducing gas leakage and maintaining sample integrity during collection and storage.
  • The aluminum foil composite gas sampling bag can be used under temperatures ranging from -30°C to +60°C, making it suitable for various sampling environments. After proper cleaning, the bag can be reused by flushing with purified air or high-purity inert gas, improving cost efficiency.
  • The aluminum foil composite structure provides excellent barrier performance against light, moisture, and external interference, making it suitable for collecting and storing light-sensitive gas samples.
  • Designed for collecting and preserving various stable gas samples, including:
    Hydrogen (H₂)/Oxygen (O₂)/Nitrogen (N₂)/Methane (CH₄)/Carbon Monoxide (CO)/Carbon Dioxide (CO₂). Applications include: Industrial gases/Petrochemical gases/Environmental gases/Greenhouse gases.
  • Suitable for routine sampling, storage, and transportation of chemically stable and low-reactivity gases, widely used in environmental monitoring, industrial analysis, and laboratory testing.

FAQ of aluminum muti foil gas sampling bag

What is the difference between single-valve and double-valve aluminum foil gas sample collection bags?

SDLABIO Aluminum Foil Gas Sampling Bags are available in two configurations: single-valve and dual-valve.

  • The single-valve gas sampling bag features a simple operation—both filling and sampling are done through the same valve. It offers good sealing performance and is ideal for basic gas sampling and short-term storage.
  • The dual-valve gas sampling bag provides greater flexibility by allowing separate control of gas inlet and outlet. This design offers enhanced sealing, reduces the risk of valve damage from repeated use, and supports multiple sampling operations. It is especially suitable for repeated or long-term gas sampling and storage.

1. Polyester Gas Sampling Bags

  • Features: Made of PET film, cost-effective and widely used for routine air sampling.
  • Advantages:
    • Low cost, suitable for disposable applications.
    • Good for common atmospheric gases such as CO₂, O₂, N₂.
  • Limitations:
    • Higher permeability compared to fluoropolymer bags.
    • Limited storage time; not ideal for VOCs or sulfur compounds.
  • Applications: General environmental air monitoring, short-term collection.

2. Tedlar (PVF) Gas Sampling Bags

  • Features: Made of polyvinyl fluoride (PVF), often branded as Tedlar®, recommended by the U.S. EPA.
  • Advantages:
    • Excellent stability for VOCs, CO, CO₂, H₂S, and other common gases.
    • Chemically inert, with low background contamination.
    • Resistant to high temperatures (up to ~107°C).
  • Limitations:
    • Less resistant to highly corrosive gases like concentrated HCl or HF.
    • Higher cost than polyester bags.
  • Applications: EPA standard methods, VOC analysis, indoor air quality monitoring, industrial emissions testing.

3. Aluminum Foil Gas Sampling Bags

  • Features: Multi-layer composite with aluminum foil, providing complete gas barrier protection.
  • Advantages:
    • Excellent impermeability, ideal for light-sensitive and trace-level gases.
    • Prevents sample degradation due to light exposure.
  • Limitations:
    • Less flexible, prone to creasing.
    • Compatibility issues with some sampling instruments.
  • Applications: Trace analysis, sampling of light-sensitive VOCs or rare gases.

4. FEP Gas Sampling Bags

  • Features: Made of fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP), a high-performance fluoropolymer.
  • Advantages:
    • Exceptional chemical inertness, compatible with most reactive and corrosive gases.
    • Very low permeability, suitable for long-term storage.
    • Wide temperature range (-70°C to +200°C).
  • Limitations:
    • Relatively expensive.
    • Softer film with lower mechanical resistance.
  • Applications: High-purity gases, corrosive gases (SO₂, H₂S), trace-level environmental monitoring.

5. PVDF Gas Sampling Bags

  • Features: Made of polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), a fluoropolymer with properties between PVF and FEP.
  • Advantages:
    • Stronger acid and alkali resistance compared to PVF/Tedlar®.
    • Low permeability and good mechanical strength.
    • Suitable for a wide range of VOCs.
  • Limitations:
    • Higher cost than Tedlar bags.
    • Less stable than FEP under extreme temperatures.
  • Applications: VOC monitoring, industrial exhaust sampling, corrosive gas analysis.

Connect the inlet valve to a sampling pump or direct line, fill to 70–80% of capacity, then close the valve securely. Avoid overfilling.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or sharp objects. For long-term gas stability, keep in protective containers.
