SDLABIO Silicone sealing mat is a laboratory consumable used to seal 96-well, 384-well and other multi-well deep well plates. It is made of high-purity medical grade silicone and has good chemical stability and reusability. - To autoclave the silicone sealing mats for the well plate, first make sure that the product is made of medical grade silicone that can be sterilized at high temperatures. Before sterilization, the surface of the cover should be thoroughly cleaned with a neutral detergent to remove residual reagents or particulate matter, and then rinsed thoroughly with deionized water. Check for damage or aging. If deformation or cracks are found, it is recommended to replace the cover with a new one.
- After cleaning, place the silicone sealing mat in a breathable autoclave bag, avoiding direct contact with the metal tray to prevent adhesion or deformation due to high temperature. Try not to stack them too densely to ensure that steam can evenly penetrate each lid.
- The standard sterilization program is set in the autoclave. The commonly used parameters are 121°C for 15 to 20 minutes and a pressure of about 15 psi (103 kPa). The entire sterilization cycle includes heating, insulation and cooling stages, which generally takes 40 to 60 minutes.
