SDLABIO Cryogenic Gloves

SDLABIO Cryogenic gloves are specialized personal protective equipment designed to provide maximum hand and forearm protection when working in ultra-low temperature environments. Made with advanced multilayer insulation and high-quality waterproof materials, these gloves ensure both flexibility and safety during the handling of cryogenic liquids (such as liquid nitrogen, liquid helium, and liquid oxygen), dry ice, and other ultra-cold samples.

Feature of Cryo Gloves

  • Made from high-performance nylon Taslon fabric, PTFE (Polytetrafluoroethylene), and Thinsulate™ insulation cotton, these cryogenic gloves provide excellent thermal protection for liquid nitrogen handling and ultra-low temperature operations. They offer effective protection against accidental splashes of small amounts of liquid nitrogen.
  • Anti-static versions are available, with an anti-static resistance range of 10⁸–10⁹ Ω. The gloves feature excellent tear resistance and abrasion resistance, and can instantly withstand ultra-low temperatures ranging from -160°C to -250°C.
  • Enhanced Flexibility: The lightweight construction ensures excellent dexterity while maintaining strong cryogenic protection, making it easier to handle cryovials, cryogenic storage boxes, and liquid nitrogen containers.
  • Water-Resistant Outer Layer: The durable outer material is splash-resistant and water-resistant, effectively reducing penetration of cryogenic liquids while maintaining wearing comfort.
  • Professional 5-Layer Thermal Protection Structure:

    1. Layer 1: High-density nylon outer fabric
    2. Layer 2: Cold-resistant penetration barrier membrane
    3. Layer 3: Dual-component low-temperature insulation cotton filling
    4. Layer 4: High-density nylon inner lining
    5. Layer 5: Cold-resistant penetration barrier membrane

The dual-component insulation filling technology continuously blocks cold penetration, providing long-lasting and stable thermal protection.

  • Extended Protection Design: Available in multiple lengths to provide comprehensive protection for hands, wrists, and forearms, meeting the requirements of various cryogenic applications.
  • Durable & Comfortable: Breathable materials help reduce perspiration buildup while ensuring long-term comfort and durability during extended use.

FAQ of cryogenic safety gloves

What temperatures can cryogenic hand gloves withstand?

They provide protection against contact with cryogenic materials at temperatures as low as –250°C, ideal for use with liquid nitrogen and other ultra-cold substances.

They are water-resistant and provide splash protection, but they are not designed for prolonged immersion in liquid nitrogen or other cryogenic liquids.

We offer multiple sizes to fit different users, and lengths including mid-arm, elbow, and shoulder for varying protection levels.

Cryogen safety gloves are designed to protect against extremely cold temperatures (such as liquid nitrogen, dry ice, or ultra-low freezers) and not against heat. They use multilayer insulation materials that are effective for cold resistance but are not engineered to withstand high temperatures or open flames. If you need to handle hot objects, you should use heat-resistant or thermal gloves instead.

Dry ice gloves are mainly designed for handling dry ice at around –78°C, while liquid nitrogen gloves (also called nitrogen gloves or gloves for liquid nitrogen) provide protection down to –250°C. In many cases, high-quality cryogenic gloves can serve both as gloves for dry ice and as gloves for dry ice handling, offering safe protection when working with different cryogenic materials.
